Xiamen Jimei to Gaoqi 220kV submarine cable transmission line project

The first 220kV submarine line project in China; won the prize of excellence design of the Ministry of Water Conservancy and Electric Power and the bronze medal for excellent design of state-level outstanding projects.

 

 

Xiamen Jimei to Gaoqi 220kV submarine cable transmission line project

The submarine cable line starts from Xiamen Jimei Terminal Station to Xiamen New Island Ring Road cable terminal station, 4.42 km long and a key section of the Xiamen Jimei Yingchun 220 kV Substation to Xiamen Island Weili 220 kV Substation.

The submarine cable used for the project with the outside with diameter of 172mm, weighing about 87kg, is the first 220kV  submarine cable composite paper Insulation, which can reduce 50% of the insulation loss and increase 8.5% of the power transmission capacity. The project is honored with the first prize for excellent design of the national electric industry.

 

Xiamen Submarine Tunnel Transmission Cable project

The project starts at Xiamen Eastern LNG Power Plant beyond the island and ends at the 220kV lakeside substation inside the island; design capacity is 990MVA.With the submarine tunnel cable of 6.048km, it is the first project in Asia that lays the 220kV cable by virtue of submarine tunnel and has the longest tunnel distance and the greatest transmission capacity in China.

Considering the cables of other industries inside the tunnel, designers adopt regular/inverted triangle in upper/lower layers fastened with fiberglass reinforced plastic bracket to lay double segment power cable, which reduces the power frequency magnetic induction to below 10 micro teslas; HV cable and light current system in the tunnel are completely isolated, avoiding interplaying and guaranteeing the safety of tunnel operating on seabed. In order to take full advantage of tunnel space and reduce used, designers adopt double segment power cable as the existing cable with 2500mm2 of peak cross-section couldnt still meet the requirement of power transmission capacity in single cable; this has broken the transmission capacity limitation of single cable line. Such innovative design has far-reaching importance to the construction of tunnel cable in China.

 

CNOC Zhanjiang Branch Weixi nan Oilfield Cluster Power Grid Project

First power grid interlink for offshore production platform, with the 35kV submarine cable in full length of about 45km connecting the power plant and the four offshore platforms.

 

 

Xiamen Songyu Power Plant ¡ª¡ª Xiamen Xiahe Substation Double-Circuit 220 kV Overland Cable Transmission Line Project

The first 220 kV transmission cable line project of China using double segment power cable; the largest cable project in terms of transmission capacity in the same period.

 

Pingtan Haitan Bridge Cable project

To meet the wands and needs for power supply of Pingtan power grid and in combination with the construction of Pingtan Strait Bridge, the cable with the cross section of 2500mm2 is used to lay four-circuit 220kV cable along the cross-sea bridge.

Pingtan Strait Bridge is the downstream and upstream double-bridge structure and the two bridges 2×3510m long all are fully reinforced concrete frame structure. The four-circuit 220kV cables are arranged on both sides of outer walls of the two bridge boxes and placed in the bracing frame on the outer walls of the bridge boxes through steel structure bracing frame. The single-circuit 220kV cable was completed and put into service in August 2013; the double-circuit 220kV cable line was completed and put into service in December 2014; the triple-circuit and four-circuit 220kV cables are estimated to be completed at the end of the 12th Five-Year Plan period.

This project is awarded with five utility patents of "new type cable bridge", "offset cable expansion compensation unit", "spring compensation unit", "lifting limiting mechanism" and "hunting gear" as well as one patent of invention of the "corrosion control for cross-sea cable bridge in high salt fog area".

 

Pingtan Haitan Bridge project

Fuping Railway as a key project of Fujians 12th Five-Year Plan is 88.273 km long from Fuzhou Station to Pingtan Island and 16.3 km long from Songxia to Pingtan. The section jointly constructed with Changping High-Speed Railway is 14.78 km long; it will be double-line railway and two-way highway in six driveways and hydropower condition shall be considered. According to Pingtan Preliminary Plan for Island Entry Channel, the highway/railway bridge needs two power channels, with each having 2-circuit 220 kV transmission line, 4 circuits in total. The project is currently the first HV highway/railway bridge cabling project in China.
