FEDI provides overall regional energy programs and solutions by establishing the Fujian Province Energy Planning and Research Center to assist the government in planning the energy development in Fujian Province and making relevant industrial policies. The center also undertakes preliminary planning of the key energy projects in Fujian and provides services such as pre-production assessment, approval and consultation, post-production verification, supervision and acceptance, etc..

As the co-developer of technology and resource development in the west coast of the Taiwan Straits, the follower of Haixi energy development and investment, and the participant of overseas business of PowerChina, the FEDI utilizes the investment to serve the market and adopts capital business models such as FEPC, PPP, BOT, etc. to expand the oversea and domestic business.

FEDI has advanced Human Capital Management System and its rich human resources organized by a reasonable structure. In recent years, FEDI has got 14 pieces of invention patents, 47 pieces of utility model patents, 14 pieces of software copyrights and 7 pieces of proprietary technologies, and has been involved in the preparation and establishment of more than 20 items of national and industry standards. It is the leading team in smart grid design and research of State Grid Corporation and PowerChina, and has won more than 300 awards such as national, provincial and ministerial level scientific and technological progress awards, excellent project survey and design awards, engineering consulting awards, high quality projects, etc., with the relevant technologies leading in the international.
